Welcome to the YWCA Hamilton MakerSpace

Where innovation meets community empowerment.

Located inside the Putman Family YWCA on Ottawa Street in Hamilton, the MakerSpace is a dynamic, inclusive hub dedicated to empowering women and gender-diverse people through creativity, hands-on learning, and tech exploration.

Whether you’re a seasoned innovator or just beginning your journey, our team is here to guide and support you every step of the way.

Equipped with cutting-edge tools, expert mentors, and a welcoming community of makers, our space invites people of all ages and backgrounds to imagine, create, and collaborate — with equity and access at the heart of everything we do.

The MakerSpace is a community-driven initiative made possible by the generous support of the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario. It stands as a living example of what’s possible when creativity and community come together.

Here, ideas turn into prototypes, and dreams become reality. We invite you to explore, experiment, and bring your imagination to life; because at the MakerSpace, curiosity has no limits.
