Signup & Registration

1How do I register?

To register please click here. Once you have filled out all your information and hit submit your profile will be approved and you will be able to login through the link in the top right.

2Is this platform free to use?

Yes! The platform is 100% free to use. The YWCA Hamilton Centre of Innovation is funded by the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario allowing us to offer free programming to women and non-binary individuals in the community.

Courses

1What internet browser should I use to take a course?

The site should work with all browsers; however, we do recommend Chrome as this is tested to be most reliable and consistent.

2I can't find the course I want to take?

You can search for courses in a number of ways:

  1. Via the search bar. Type in the name of the course or a keyword.
  2. Hover over Product & Resources in the bar, then select the course  you are looking for and use the filter option on the left hand side after that.
3Do I need to complete a course in one go?

No, you can complete our courses in your own time. If you need to leave a course, click the course exit button to save your progress. This icon is in the top right-hand corner of your page. You will need to allow a few moments to register this progress before closing the window down

4My progress bar within the course isn't showing as full, what part of the course have I missed?

If you are unsure what part of the course you have missed, click the progress bar and this will open a side window and any sections showing as white are incomplete.  You can go straight to those sections by clicking on them

5Is this platform free to use?

Misc

1Do I have to be a participant in a YWCA Program?

No. This platform all women and non-binary individuals to use to upgrade their skills, refresh their knowledge or learn something new.

2Is Uplift Digital Learning mobile-friendly?

We understand that information can be accessed in many different ways. However, some courses will be tricky to complete on mobile because they are in formats out of our control.

3How do I change my profile photo?

In order to change your profile photo you will need to use Gravatar (click here).

Once you setup your Gravatar with the email used on your uplift digital learning profile you will see it change.
